Christie/AIX: The first large scale turnkey digital cinema deployment.
This implementation package for digital cinema includes compatible hardware,
equipment installation, training, complete maintenance,
management software, and DCI-compliant technology.
Christie/AIX,
a subsidiary of AccessIT, will act as a financing
intermediary between content owners –
including major studios and independent distributors
– and exhibitors who will receive turnkey, DCI-compliant
Digital Cinema systems including 2K DLP-Cinema® projectors
and related hardware provided by Christie. AccessIT
has
already secured the capital funding for the initial
systems.

What our turnkey package includes.
At Christie/AIX, we take very seriously our relationships with everyone involved
in making digital cinema work. As an exhibitor,
we know that you to expect the highest quality
equipment and optimum support and Christie/AIX
delivers on both counts. Our turnkey implementation
package includes the following:
Each system will be compliant to the DCI Specifications V 1.0 released on July
20, 2005.
Compatible hardware:
- The latest generation Christie
2K DLP-Cinema® Projector for each screen in
your theatre.
- JPEG 2000 media player at each
screen, capable of both 2K and 4K playout,
and 3D capable
- Central Library Server featuring
AccessIT’s unique Theatre Command Center software
that will enable
centrally managed programming control
for all screens in a complex and will seamlessly
integrate
with
other AccessIT theatre management software
programs including our “Hollywood Software”
film booking
systems. This central server will be
the
management hub for all data in the theatre
including movies,
trailers, advertising and alternate content
for all screens, and will facilitate
the efficient moving of content from one auditorium
to another.
- Rooftop satellite dish which will enable
the theatre to receive all its digital content.
Training – Comprehensive, and ongoing training sessions will be provided by Christie
Digital Systems on use of the equipment at each
installed location. User manuals will be provided
and a Telephone Helpdesk will be available 24/7/365
for troubleshooting and technical assistance during
theatre operating hours.
Remote monitoring – Christie
Network Operations Center continually surveys
system performance,
noting trends that can be used often to prevent
problems before they occur or to correct a situation
quickly via the Helpdesk.
Complete warranty maintenance
program – The Christie/AIX program includes all
parts and labor (excluding
lamps and filters), and is designed to be comparable
in cost to current 35mm maintenance service.
Regular maintenance will be performed on a
twice yearly
basis. If necessary between scheduled maintenance
appointments, emergency onsite visits will
be available with a four-hour response time by
Chrisite’s
field
service engineers. Critical spare parts will
be housed locally ensuring minimal downtime.
Equipment
installation – through its partner Christie Digital
Systems, Christie/AIX will
perform a thorough
site survey and site preparation requirements,
and install the complete digital cinema system
to turn your theatre into a digital showplace.
Management
software – Each system will include AccessIT’s
Theatre Command Center (TCC) software.
This unique software package will enable
centrally managed programming control for
all content
on all screens in a complex and will seamlessly
integrate with other AccessIT software
programs.
The Christie/AIX digital cinema system
comprises fully-vetted hardware and software.
