Job Description
Royalty Analyst
Description
We have an immediate opening for an entertainment industry
royalty professional. Analyst will work with movie studios,
TV studios, record labels, music publishers, video distributors,
and merchandise licensees/licensors, providing support
for royalty and licensing systems.
Responsibilities Include:
- Guide clients through the software
implementation process, including: requirements definition,
project management, product testing, training, and
post implementation support.
- Performing functional testing of software and acting
as a key contributor in the pre-release, quality assurance
process
- Working with the product engineering team, providing
product functional and usability feedback
Preparing royalty statements with specialized software
system
- Reviewing contracts and preparing data for Internet-based
product demonstrations
- Work with clients and internal software development
team to troubleshoot software issues
- Constructing documentation consisting of software
user guides, training manuals, and project related
documentation
- Using Internet tools to research entertainment and
other target market oriented industry issues
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Royalty/Music/Licensing
Business background or equivalent required
- B.A. in Business/Accounting/Music Business or equivalent
experience
- Royalty financial analysis or royalty accounting background
a plus
- Knowledge of music and/or trademark licensing industry
contracts and ability to summarize royalty-related
terms
- Experience implementing enterprise-class software
systems
- High-level computer literacy including royalty systems,
Excel, and the Internet
- Excellent composition skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Work effectively with analytical team
- Comfortable working in and being a key contributor
in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
